Recently we converted the A6 Quattro using Romano multi - point injection equipment. Many similar cars have been converted with simpler single inductive mixer systems run on a closed loop basis, but they still have that potential for large scale backfiring, possibly damaging the plastic inlet manifold and other induction components. Multi - point sequential systems do not have this risk of large scale backfiring, they also tend to give better fuel economy. Here are some pictures of the Audi conversion -
There is something to be said for having the LPG filler placed on the same side as the Petrol filler. Pulling up to the pump on the Petrol side can be a habit that is hard to break!
The 5V engine is fitted to several Audi models, and Volkswagen. The Golf VR6 has the same engine so the research we did to get this conversion just right is recorded and ready for any of those 5V powered cars. Even the mighty 4.2 V8 A8 engine is not that different and we'd be pleased to convert one.
Fitting a tank is a serious business at Go LPG. We custom make all of our own bracketry to optimise tank security, very important if the car is involved in a collision at some point. Our tank mountings exceed the requirements of the LPGA and BSI.
