One seriously quick motor car!
The owner asked if we could calm is thirst for money.
Of course we could!
A smaller (spare wheel) tank could have been fitted but the owner wanted as much range as he could have whilst still retaining most of the load space.
The latest (11/05) style gas switch can be seen here mounted on the lower speedo housing trim. It is easily visible but not intrusive at night.
The 5 gas injectors can be seen sitting on top of the manifold, along with the gas distribution manifold and pipework. The vaporiser (reducer) cannot be seen here. It is mounted at the back of the engine bay.
This is a turbocharged model.
We fitted a 90 litre cylinder tank.
Romano 'N' system SGi (Multi point sequential gas injection) equpiment was use for this job.
Here's the converted engine.

Fuel economy........ Given that petrol is now around 2.6 times the price of LPG, this gave an equivalent fuel economy figure of 60mpg in terms of what it would have cost on petrol.
